    What is CareHalo360?

CareHalo360 is fall detection for assisted living communities and families. The CareHalo360 Halo mounts on the wall of a room and never records video. When someone falls, the people on that room's list get a phone call, a text and an app alert within seconds. It costs $69 per room per month.

A night-shift caregiver checks her phone in an assisted living hallway

Night shift. A few aides. Dozens of doors.

Many falls in assisted living happen when nobody is in the room. A resident who can't reach the call button may lie on the floor until the next round, sometimes for hours.

Pendants get left on the nightstand. Bed alarms go off every time a resident rolls over. The Halo looks after the whole room, knows a real fall when it sees one and tells the right person right away.

    How CareHalo360 works

What happens in the first seconds after a fall.

The 17-dot stick figure of a person on the floor after a fall

    It spots the fall

The Halo turns each person into 17 dots on the body, like a stick figure. When those dots go down and stay down, it knows that is a fall.

The text message staff receive when a fall happens

    It calls your team

Within seconds your staff get a phone call, a text and a notification, with a blurred picture taken at the moment of the fall. If nobody answers, it calls the next person.

The CareHalo360 app showing that a fall was answered

    Someone goes to help

Whoever answers presses 1 to say “I’m on it.” Everyone else can see help is on the way, and you keep a record of what happened.

One Halo per room. Nothing for residents to wear.

The Halo sits high on the wall, about the size of a thermostat. It plugs into the wall and connects to your Wi-Fi. Residents never have to charge it, press it or remember it.

    • A call, a text and a notificationAll three go out at once, so nobody misses it.
    • It keeps calling until someone answersIf the first person is busy, it calls the next one on your list.
    • The right people for each roomYou choose who gets called for every resident, staff and family.
    • A record of every fallWhen it happened, who answered and how fast.

Nothing is recorded. Nothing is streamed.

The Halo is a camera, and we say so up front. But it does its thinking right there on the wall. No video ever leaves the room, so there is nothing for anyone to watch.

    • No video feed. Staff and family can't open a camera view, because there isn't one.
    • A blurred picture, only at the moment of a fall. Staff see how serious it is and can spot a false alarm. Deleted from our server after 2 days, or turned off in settings.
    • 17 dots, not faces. The Halo turns each person into dots on the body and does not try to recognize anyone.

Simple pricing. Nothing to buy up front.

One price per room for facilities and families. The Halo, the alerts and our support are all included. Facilities also get installation and staff training.

    All questions →
    Does CareHalo360 record video?

No. The Halo is a camera, but it never records or sends video. It does its thinking right there on the wall. Only at the moment of a fall does it take a blurred picture and send it with the alert. Those pictures are deleted from our server after 2 days, and you can turn them off completely in settings.

How does the Halo know someone fell?

The Halo turns the person in the room into 17 dots on the body, like a stick figure. When those dots go down to the floor and stay there, it recognizes a fall and calls your team right away.

    Who receives alerts?

You choose. In a community, alerts go to the staff on shift and to family members the resident approves. At home, they go to the family members you add. If the first person does not answer, the Halo calls the next one. Anyone can stop getting alerts at any time.

    How much does CareHalo360 cost?

$69 per month per room. The Halo, the alerts and our support are all included. There is nothing to buy up front and no installation fee.

    Is CareHalo360 difficult to install?

No. The Halo goes up with one screw, about 6 feet high, plugs into the wall and connects to your Wi-Fi. At home it takes about 15 minutes. For communities, we install every room for you.

    Does CareHalo360 call 911?

No. CareHalo360 calls the people you choose. A person always decides what happens next.

    Is CareHalo360 a medical device?

No. CareHalo360 is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything. It lets people know when a fall happens so help arrives sooner.
