How can I know if my parent falls while living alone?

Mount a CareHalo360 Halo in the room your parent uses most. There is nothing to wear or charge, and no video is recorded. If they fall, you get a phone call, a text and an app alert within seconds, and it keeps calling the next person until someone answers. $69 per month, device included.

Does this sound like your family?

    • Your parent lives alone, or with a spouse who couldn't help them up
    • They had a fall, a hospital stay or a new diagnosis recently
    • They won't wear the emergency pendant, or forget to charge it
    • You live more than 20 minutes away
    • You call every day just to hear that they're okay

If you've ever lain awake wondering whether they fell tonight and nobody knows, the Halo was made for you.

    What happens if they fall

No button to press. Nothing for your parent to remember.

The 17-dot stick figure of a person on the floor after a fall

    Your parent falls

The Halo turns your parent into 17 dots on the body, like a stick figure. When those dots go down and stay down, it knows something is wrong.

The text message a family member receives after a fall

    Your phone rings

You get a phone call, a text and a notification at the same time, with a blurred picture from the moment of the fall, so you can see how serious it is, or see that it was a false alarm and everyone is fine.

The CareHalo360 app showing that a fall was answered

    You decide what to do

Press 1 to say “I’m on it.” Call your parent, a neighbor or 911. If you can’t answer, the Halo calls your brother, sister or whoever is next.

Set it up on your next visit

    1. It comes to your door. We ship the Halo to you, not your parent, so you can bring it on your next visit.
    2. You put it up in about 15 minutes. One screw, about 6 feet high, in the room they use most. Plug it in and connect it to their Wi-Fi.
    3. The app checks the view. Walk across the room once and your phone tells you if the Halo can see everything.
    4. You go home and sleep. If they fall, you'll know.

    Your parent keeps their privacy

The Halo is a camera, and we're open about that. It was built so your parent never feels watched, because nobody can watch.

    How privacy works →
    • No video, ever. Not to you, not to us. There is nothing to log in and look at.
    • 17 dots, not faces. The Halo turns your parent into dots on the body, like a stick figure, and does not try to recognize anyone.
    • A picture only at the moment of a fall. Blurred, so you can tell how serious it is. Deleted from our server after 2 days, or turned off in settings.
    • No microphone. It can't hear anything that is said in the room.

The whole family can be on the list

    • Add brothers, sisters and neighborsYou choose who gets called and in what order.
    • It keeps calling until someone answersIf you're in a meeting or asleep, it moves to the next person.
    • Nobody needs the appFamily members get a regular phone call and text. Only you manage the list.

Text alerts and how to stop them

When you add someone, they get one welcome text naming the person they were added for. After that, texts only come when there is a fall, plus follow-ups until it is resolved.

    • Safety alerts only. Never marketing.
    • We never share phone numbers.
    • Reply STOP to any message to be removed right away.
    • Every alert has a one-tap “Remove me” link.

    All questions →
    Does CareHalo360 record video?

No. The Halo is a camera, but it never records or sends video. It does its thinking right there on the wall. Only at the moment of a fall does it take a blurred picture and send it with the alert. Those pictures are deleted from our server after 2 days, and you can turn them off completely in settings.

Will the person in the room feel watched?

Nobody can watch, because there is nothing to watch. There is no live picture, no screen and nothing to press. Most residents forget the Halo is there.

    Is CareHalo360 difficult to install?

No. The Halo goes up with one screw, about 6 feet high, plugs into the wall and connects to your Wi-Fi. At home it takes about 15 minutes. For communities, we install every room for you.

Does anyone need to wear a device?

No. There is no pendant, wristband or button. Nothing to remember, charge or put on.

    Does CareHalo360 call 911?

No. CareHalo360 calls the people you choose. A person always decides what happens next.

    What happens if I cancel?

You can cancel at any time. Send the Halo back and there is no charge. If it is not returned, a one-time $250 replacement fee applies.

    Is CareHalo360 a medical device?

No. CareHalo360 is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything. It lets people know when a fall happens so help arrives sooner.
